Educational Consulting

Alvita Tyler has over 15 years of experience of working with a diverse group of learners and families in the education field. Her goal is to provide families with support and clarity as they navigate the Special Educational process. She has sat on both sides of the table, as an educator and as an advocate for her son who has special needs. Alvita understands firsthand how overwhelming this journey can be and how hard it is to navigate the different services and put together the right education plan for your child. She doesn't want any parent to feel alone on this journey so she founded Special Needs Journey Consulting to provide both short-term special education consultation and ongoing comprehensive support. Special Needs Journey Consulting help families navigate, select, develop and/or pursue appropriate special education services in the following areas: Early Intervention, CPSE, and CSE.

Speech Therapy

Kristen Rossano is a fully licensed and dedicated speech-language pathologist. She has experience assessing and treating toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children with of a variety of communication disorders. She believes in the power of play and values each child’s special interests. She uses a person-centered/ family-centered approach to facilitate meaningful connections and support communication development.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Consultation

Jessica Resnick-Blass is a fully licensed speech language - pathologist. She specializes in

augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and has over 15 years of experience treating individuals with complex communication needs. Jessica is passionate about giving everyone a voice and helping communication partners feel confident using AAC systems across various settings. She works closely with children and their families to implement strategies to support communication development.

Occupational Therapy

Alexandra Riebl is a fully licensed and committed OT who has experience working in EI, CPSE and CSE. She is experienced in working with children with a variety of diagnoses and delays to improve their fine motor, visual motor, visual perceptual, and self help skills as well as sensory processing and more. She believes in the importance of play during sessions, child-centered interventions, and family involvement and carry-over during therapy. Alexandra is an advocate for her students and their parents and families and strives to help her students achieve their highest potential.
